To get away from Delhi’s heat, my friends and I decided to travel to Dehradun, followed by Mussoorie and beyond. Our exams had just finished and the trip was long overdue. Most of the planning was done from home itself and after going through a number of reviews online, we finally decided upon Lemon Tree Hotel, Dehradun. We thought of going for a road trip, but, followed by family intervention, decided against it. My friends and I took the train to this quaint town and we were pleasantly surprised as to how near Lemon Tree was to the railway station. In fact one can go as far as to say that it is one of the best hotels in Dehradun near railway station. This hotel in Dehradun welcomed us with a lot of warmth that truly impressed us.

By this point, we were all pretty excited. Our check in process was nice and smooth. Our rooms offered magnificent views of the foothills of the Himalayas! Armed with all the avant garde amenities, my room was a remarkable haven away from the hustle bustle of Delhi. My friends were equally impressed with their own rooms. Citrus Café, their restaurant, was well suited for a nice multi cuisine fare, and you could see the fantastic mountains from here as well. All in all the start to our journey was indeed perfect.
